Meet KirunOver 3000 schools in 15 countries including Singapore have chosen Elevate Education to run their study skills programmes for one key reason: each programme actually works! Elevate’s study skills workshops and seminars are designed to achieve behavioural change amongst students. It isn’t enough that students simply understand what they need to do in their study. Elevate gets students using the skills from its seminars and workshops through a fresh approach to study skills...
Before each programme, Elevate surveys the student body and meets with key members of the School Leadership Team, to identify your student’s needs and current skills in order to develop a tailored study skills programme.
By also using short, sharp sessions strategically placed across the year, attention spans don’t wane and students are introduced to skills when they need them most!
view our programmesAll of Elevate’s presenters are highly engaging and energetic study skills experts that are able to capture the attention of student audiences. By drawing on their own experiences and speaking the students’ language, they can relate to the challenges and pressures of being at school, while also giving the skills an unmatchable immediacy.
view our programmesMost study skills workshops are like a sugar hit: great in the short-term but with no lasting impact. The reality is that study skills, like any other life skill, are built through repetition and review. So, Elevate provides schools and their subject departments with a range of comprehensive follow up resources to integrate the skills into the classroom, ensuring that the students are still benefiting from the workshops months later.
view our programmesEvery student can connect with Elevate’s online learning community, where they can access a range of resources that they will actually use! This includes practice questions, exam walk-through videos, study and subject tips from former top students, exam preparation courses and more.
view our programmesMake sure you actually get results and see return on investment! Elevate uses a system called Results Tracker to measure the level of behavioural change achieved by each programme. This data is compiled into a MOE-friendly report that clearly documents the degree to which students have adopted and used each skills from the programme, to ensure that you are getting value for time and money.
view our programmesMake sure the study skills message is integrated into the school community! Elevate’s parent seminars provide your parent body with the ability to effectively assist their children without crossing the line and becoming the enemy.
Elevate’s staff seminars expose your school’s teaching staff to the language and application of the skills covered with their students, as well as global best practice for reinforcing each skill in the classroom. Triangulating study skills encourages students to acquire the skills in the long run.

Q: How long have you been a presenter for?
A: I have been a presenter for 3 years.
Q: What made you want to be a presenter?
A: Having been a tutor for over 5 years, I’ve seen hundreds of students struggle to understand the knowledge given to them in school, simply because they don’t know how to study. I joined Elevate to helps students realise that with the right study strategies and techniques, it is actually possible for them to get outstanding results. Nothing beats the rush of having students leave a workshop motivated, excited and confident that they can overcome the challenges that school brings.
Q: What is your favourite Elevate seminar?
A: My favourite seminar would have to be Time Management. In my experience this is one thing students always find difficult; there is so much work and so little time! Students always seem to laugh when I speak about my own experiences with procrastination and leave the workshop not only understanding why we get distracted, but how to actually overcome procrastination.
Q: What's a memorable experience you had from presenting in a school?
A: I will always remember the time when a student was disrupting the rest of the class and wasn’t paying attention. I ended up getting him involved through one of our interactions. After that, he was so focused and even asked questions for the rest of the session. He came up to me and said “I really didn’t want to come to this initially because I thought it would be boring and a waste of time, but now I’m glad I came. I know exactly how to study and feel motivated to try some of these tips”. It’s moments like this that show me why I love my job.
Q: How long have you been a presenter for?
A: I have been presenting now for over 12 months.
Q: What made you want to be a presenter?
A: I studied a masters of teaching at University, so working with young people and being immersed in education was a natural next step. I think the most valuable thing about being a presenter is seeing the immediate impact that you're able to have on students' education. I wish I had Elevate at my school when I was studying! I remember the stress and feelings of overwhelm that arise when you're faced with a high workload and lots of expectations on yourself. Having someone come in and clarify everything, and just give you a path can be really helpful. So being part of that process is really rewarding.
Q: What is your favourite Elevate seminar?
A: My favourite seminar would have to be Memory and Mnemonics. Once again, I just know that this would have been incredibly valuable for me when I was a student. The tips are so practical and are immediately relevant to exam and the entire studying process. I love how the seminar is interactive and really shows students how easy it is to memorise when you have the right techniques in place!
Q: What's a memorable experience you had from presenting in a school?
A: After a memory session I had a group of students come up to me and tell me that they were really struggling to prepare for tests because they were rote learning (reading information over and over). Once they saw the unique strategies from our memory seminar they were able to recognise that study didn't have to be boring and that it could actually be a lot of fun if you get creative! It's these experiences that make me realise how much students take from the sessions - that I'm making a difference. At the end of the day, that's what we're here to do!
